,An elderly chinese woman had tow large pots
each hung on the ends ofapole , which she carried across her neck
كان عند إمرأه صينية مسنه إنائين كبيرين تنقل بهما الماء , وتحملهما مربوطين بعمود خشبي على
كتيفيها .
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered afull portion of water
وكان أحد الإنائين به شرخ والإناء الآخر بحالة تامة ولاينقص منه شئ من الماء .
At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house , the cracked pot arrived only half full
وفي كل مرة كان الإناء المشروخ يصل إلى نهاية المطاف من النهر إلى المنزل وبه نصف كمية الماء فقط .
For a full tow years this went on daily ,with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water
ولمدة سنتين كاملتين كان هذا يحدث مع السيدة الصينية , حيث كانت تصل منزلها بإناء واحد مملوء ونصف .
Of course ,the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments
وبالطبع , كان الإناء السليم مزهواً بعمله الكامل .
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection ,and miserable thwoman one day by the stream at it could only do half of what it had been made to do
وكان الإناء المشروخ محتقراً نفسة لعدم قدرته وعجزه عن إتمام ماهو متوقع منه .
After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure , it spoke to the
وفي يوم من الأيام وبعد سنتين من المرارة والإحساس بالفشل تكلم الإناء المشروخ مع السيدة الصينية .
I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house
( أنا خجل جداً من نفسي لأني عاجز ولدي شرخ يسرب الماء على الطريق للمنزل)
The old woman smiled did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path , but not on pots side
فأبتسمت المرأه الصينية وقالت (ألم تلاحظ الزهور التي على جانب الطريق من ناحيتك وليست على الجانب الآخر؟)
Thats because I have always known about your flaw , so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path , and every day while we walk back , you water them
أنا أعلم تماماً عن الماء الذي يفقد منك ولهذا الغرض غرست البذور على طول الطريق من جهتك حتى ترويها في طريق عودتك للمنزل .
For tow years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table
ولمدة سنتين متواصلتين قطفت من هذه الزهور الجميلة لأزين بها منزلي .
Without you being just the way you are , there would not be this beauty to grace the house
مالم تكن أنت بما أنت فيه , ماكان لي أن أجد هذا الجمال يزين منزلي .
Each of us has his own unique flaw
كلٌ منا لديه ضعفه
But its the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding
ولكن شروخنا وضعفاتنا تضع حياتنا معا بطريقة عجيبة ومثيرة .
You have just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them
